nutrition is a new

and complex

science

Did you know the discipline of Nutrition science is a recent innovation? It began in the 1920s as a response to the industrial and agricultural revolutions, but it wasn’t until the 1990s that it really took off.

Nutrition is a space where human physiology, culture and technology collide. As a nutritionist, I utilize this space and help you identify your unique requirements, access and needs.

Together we will strive to see the duality in the upmost simplicity. What you’re doing vs what you should be doing. So you can learn what is and isn’t ‘right’ for you.

The knowledge, tips & tools you need to get your nutrition-on, and keep it on.

A bit about me:

Hi, i’m elena

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Physiology) and Master of Food Science from The University of Melbourne, and I am a PhD candidate in the space of the diet-physiology-gut microbiome axis at RMIT.

I’m investigating the immuno-metabolic role of a proto-typical western dietary agent and am actively rehabilitating from endometriosis. It’s theory and practice. My research fields surround diet and inflammatory disease.

My passions in science are built on the the evolution and development of our diet and its relationship to our well-being.

And, my love for nutrition draws from unreasonable infatuations with the fields of chronobiology, functional foods and phytochemicals.

Our Philosophy

Nutrition counseling is about turning theory into action with a practical, data-driven approach. Together, we’ll map your nutritional landscape, define goals, and cultivate habits that create lasting change. It’s a dynamic, evolving framework rooted in habit shifts and the rhythms of real life—empowering you to master your health with confidence

  • We define our problem by utilizing a systematic, bio-psycho-social approach. This includes collecting data on dietary habits, psychological factors influencing eating behavior, and social contexts that affect food choices, creating a multi-dimensional understanding of your nutritional reality

  • We create personalized, realistic, and measurable goals. By aligning these goals with your lifestyle, we establish actionable steps that are sustainable and evidence-based

  • We identify unhelpful or counterproductive habits. Together, we learn to recognize nutritional pitfalls and maladaptive dietary patterns, developing strategies to address them effectively

  • We integrate supportive and health-promoting habits. Consistency is key as we replace unhelpful patterns with positive behaviours, focusing on small, sustainable changes for lasting impact.

  • We adjust and review our progress. Together, we assess whether our problem has been resolved and build confidence in your ability to maintain a healthy nutritional understanding independently
